This cigar comes to us from the July 2023 My Monthly Cigars Box.. Well constructed and pressed, this cigar is wrapped in a slightly oily, veined (non prominent) wrapper that is void of any imperfections. Pre ignition aromas of chocolate covered raisins are faint as we cut to reveal a slightly labored draw.
A toast/light and right into some introductory notes of cashews and straight coffee. The retro is smooth and moves right into a mild finish with a magnified version of the forward notes. Getting past the inch marker we see an increased magnification of flavors/richness as the cashew drops off the pallets. Notes of molasses combine with baker's spices of clove and a growing floral value to produce a very intense and oily flavor on the finish.
Into the 2/3 and we see a great burn as a marbled (light/dark) ash, stacks well on a thin and wavering ash fringe. Consistent and getting near medium in strength, we note the floral value taking center stage and is especially noted on the nasal of the retrohale.
Halfway and consistent, we see medium and intense flavors finishing very rich on the pallet as a dark bakers chocolate joins in. Getting near and into the 3/3 and medium+, I am impressed on this cigar's construction but more so its absolutely rich finish.
A savory and sweet candy bar, we see consistency as the oily and long lasting finish is joined by a strong brûlée (toasted sugar). To the nub where we note a bright white ash core and a collimating strength at almost full. A well constructed cigar is blended for the “intense “ flavor enthusiast.
