REVIEW
This densely packed and well constructed belicoso is wrapped in a typical and lovely San Andrés wrapper. The pre-ignition aromas of barn hay and manure are prominent. Great care and thought has been given to the band art and printing, which is embossed in gold leaf. A straight cut leads to an open draw.

A toast/light and straight to a medium. Notes of walnut and toast bread are on the pallet. The retro, which has a sting to the nostril, opens up to a long and very tasty finish of the opening notes. A little more than an inch in and quite the flavor powerhouse. Alongside the primary notes are an addition of a sweet raw sugar and the introduction of pepper, felt on the mouth especially.

Getting into the 2/3 and extremely rich flavors abound! Notes of nuts mingle with toasted wood, bakers spice and a hint of black currant found deep in the finish. Medium plus and oily and sweet! The burn it textbook, offering some light gray dime stacking on a razor straight and thin ash fringe. If these were real dimes, I’d be about 3$ in.

Ending the 2/3 we see consistency, with a slight increase in power, the pepper is bordering dark licorice as I’m amazed at the finish which lasts forever. The burn and construction is at a legendary level.

Into the 3/3 and the nutty values have vanished, leaving intense flavors of bakers spice and licorice, with a peppery finish that is both oily and sweet on the mouth. To the nub, where a significant increase in strength takes place as we conclude this impressively built and blended cigar by Caldwell Cigars. Highly recommended.
