My Monthly Cigars Box #12 - May 2020
We cannot believe it. My Monthly Cigars, A Cigar Club For Everyone, has just sent out its 12th Box. In human years, that makes us 1 year old!
To celebrate, we brought some heat in this month's box. What kind of heat? For starters, a $20+ cigar and a total MSRP of almost $47 in the Robusto Box! That means our El Presidente members received almost $94 worth of cigars this month.
STRAIGHT HEAT!
If 4 cigars wasn't enough, this month's extra was...yup...a 5th cigar! But this one is a secret right now. Stay tuned because there is more to come on that!
Let's take a look at the May Box...
Let's go from left to right...
First up is the E.P. Carrillo Dark Rituals. Right out of the cellophane this cigar is something to admire. With its dark (duh) oily rich Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, you'll be mesmerized immediately. Tucked behind there is a complimentary Sumatran wrapper and is finished off with a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican long fillers. Its a medium-full cigar for sure, but its 100% full of deliciousness.

Up next, the big boy of the month. The name Cohiba is synonymous with cigars everywhere. It's just one of those names you know. And you always know that you're in for a treat. The Cohiba Red Dot is no different. This medium bodied bad boy has a beautiful Cameroon wrapper that surrounds aged Dominican grown Piloto Cubano tobaccos that are guaranteed to please. How do we know? Well, other than the fact we've smoked plenty, the Cohiba Red Dot has received ratings of 91 and 92. And at this price point, it makes the May Box worth every single penny.

The Diesel Unholy Cocktail just sounds like something you want when you want to get in trouble. But in this case, it's just an awesome cigar with a bad ass name. Featured this month is the 5 x 56 Belicoso/Torpedo which is pretty much hits the sweet spot when it comes to sizes and ring gauges. This cigar is blended by AJ Fernandez, so you know exactly why it's a full strength cigar. The Nicaraguan long fillers wrapped up with a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper are sure to take your tastes buds for a ride. Sorry, we don't really have any puns for "unholy"...

Last, but of course not least, we have a cigar from a line that is as well known to the cigar world as McDonald's is to the fast food world. The Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real finished out the May Box. This cigar has a nice blend of flavors that is finished off by just the right amount of pepper notes. With a 91 rating, you'll see exactly why this cigar lives up to the brand. It's the lightest smoke of the May Box which makes this one of the most well rounded boxes in terms of sizes and strengths My Monthly Cigars has released yet.
