My Monthly Cigars Box #14 - July 2020
Let's just get this out of the way...My Monthly Cigars Box #14 might very well be the lightest box yet in terms of cigar strength.
Even though it may be light in strength, it is not light in MSRP. The June Box has an MSRP of $43.59 which includes two cigars over $12 in MSRP.
The extra this month is an eye popping My Monthly Cigars acrylic charm. This can be used in multiple ways. Clip it to your bag, use it as a key chain, or maybe even put it on your dog's collar!
On to the June Box...
Let's kick off this month with the most expensive cigar in the box. Why not! Fun fact, the most expensive cigar in the box is also the lightest in strength. That cigar of course is the Carlos Torano Reserva Decadencia. It's Connecticut wrapper is filled with Honduran, Dominican, and Nicaraguan long fillers. What it lacks in strength, it will surprise you with flavor. This cigar is ideal to have with a cup of morning coffee for sure.
Do you like fast, fancy, high end cars? You've probably heard of Bugatti and its high price tag. Well, have you heard of the Bugatti Potere? No, its not a high horse power expensive car. It's a cigar that is actually very affordable! The Bugatti Potere is a mild-medium smoke that has a blend of Nicaraguan and Mexican fillers. Surrounding that is an Indonesian binder and a nice looking Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. No need to speed through this one. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the smoothness of this cigar.
Let's talk Cigar Aficionado and Top 25 lists. Why? Well, because this next cigar not only was the CA #12 Cigar of the Year in 2015, but it had an astounding 94 rating! We can assure you this...that 94 is well worth it. That cigar is the La Boheme. The mix of Dominican fillers wrapped in an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper make for an amazing combination of tobacco that is sure to bring you a wonderful smoking experience. The medium-full strength tends to lean more toward the medium side, but the flavor of this cigar is full blast.
Wrapping up the July Box is a bundle cigar that you almost surely have seen if you've spent any time on a cigar website doing some window shopping. The HC Series has multiple different options, but we went ahead and chose to share with you the HC Red Corojo. And we are happy we did. The fillers in this cigar come from three different regions of Nicaragua and wrapped up of course in a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. Smooth with some black pepper sprinkled in, you'll enjoy this cigar. Especially when you see the price.
