REVIEW
Included in the May 2022 My Monthly Cigars Box, this very well constructed “soft” box pressed cigar has pre ignition aromas that are cocoa in nature. The dark wrapper has a fine “hair” tooth, has a dark brown leathery patina and well capped. A straight cut leads to a draw medium open draw.

Mild and moving to medium, a near perfect burn starts to develop, with a growing and flaky white/grey ash, on a super thin ash fringe. The retro is the centerpiece of the experience as well, offering a very rich, oily and boarding salty taste of cocoa nibs/truffles.
Into the 2/3 and medium in strength. There are tremendously powerful flavors on the pallet and although consistent at this point, the lightest of cedar can be found deep in the finish. Nothing short of a flavor bomb as we continue with a slow burning and very well constructed cigar. Getting into the last 2 inches, the notes are consistent and along that consistency is a legendary burn. There is a general increase in strength and an introductory pepper/clove on the pallet. Both the coffee and cocoa take back stage as we get into the nub.
